The Ottemann Lab Mission

The Ottemann lab works to further the understanding of the mechanisms by which chronic pathogens colonize, persist and cause disease, using Helicobacter pylori as a model. We have strong expertise in a key bacterial ability, chemotactic signal transduction. Our lab promotes a diverse, collaborative, friendly, inclusive, and respectful environment that fosters the development of first-rate scientists.
